Luke Combs Teases Unreleased Track “On The Other Line” And Hangs Out With Shania Twain

Luke Combs has country music fans looking for new tunes, and he’s slowly providing them with unreleased tracks from his upcoming album.

The multi-platinum artist took to social media late Tuesday night (May 31) to tease a feel-good fishing anthem titled “On The Other Line.” The mid-tempo melody will live on on his long-awaited 12-track project”Growing up.”

“On the Other Line – Out June 24!” Combs wrote alongside an audio file.

Fishing enthusiasts everywhere will resonate with the track, as Combs sings a relatable position that many find themselves in while baiting a hook. In the track – Combs is stuck in a sticky situation, with a line in the water and held up on a phone line with his wife. The savvy pun is on full display in the catchy chorus when Combs confirms he’ll be doing his chores after scoring his catch of the day.

“Yeah, I’ll clean the kitchen | I’m going to do the damn dishes | Baby, I’m wrong, you’re right | I understand what you mean, believe me when I say it | At the moment, my hands are tied, ”he pleads with his unfortunate wife. “So I’m gonna have to call you back, baby | These fish are biting like crazy | They knock the paint off this crankbait every time | I feel like I’m shocked by an old bulldozer | Sorry honey, but I have to click on it | I have a 6 pound big mouth on the other line.

Notable industry and fan names flooded the comments section to acknowledge the clever lyrics and storytelling.
