India Honey Alliance (IHA) to host “Hive to Home 2.0”


New Delhi [India], Sep 30 (ANI / NewsView): India Honey Alliance (IHA), a collaboration of the entire honey value chain across the country, hosts an informative and interactive webinar – “Hive to Home 2.0” focusing on provision of information on honey, its health benefits, palliative and curative properties.

The webinar is part of the IHA’s efforts to raise awareness of the various health benefits of honey and improve its penetration in the country.

This is the second IHA webinar, which brings together independent industry experts to shed light on the importance of honey for the health and well-being of individuals. The virtual session is scheduled for Thursday, September 30, and is open to the general public by registering on the India Honey Alliance website (Speaking of the initiative, Deepak Jolly, IHA General Secretary, said: “ The next five years are crucial for the honey industry as increased collaboration across the value chain accelerates to reinvent and find ways to simply popularize honey as a food product. India Honey Alliance will play a central role in developing new strategies and a roadmap that will propel the Indian honey industry to new heights.It is extremely essential to break myths and bring in valuable information from experts to educate consumers on the myriad of health benefits from its natural nectar called honey.The Alliance has worked closely with key stakeholders across the spectrum and aims to create an ecosystem that i bring best practices for the benefit of industry and beekeepers. as Sanjeev Kapoor – Celebrity ChefEntrepreneur, Dr SM Arif Zaidi – Dean of Unani School of Medical Education and Research. Jamia Hamdard University, Mr. Deepak Agarwal, Founder, Auric (Premium Ayurvedic Drinks) and Dr Mankul Goyal – MD (Dermatology), Integrative Medicine for Hair Care.

Namrata Khanna, Director of India Honey Alliance, said: “At IHA, we believe that the involvement of the entire honey value chain is essential to make Indian honey the most valued honey in the world. the global and national market. Beekeepers are the focal point of any development programs envisaged by the Alliance and they play a key role in shaping the future of the honey industry in India. While the first webinar focused on “The Honey Journey” from collecting to transforming testing techniques, this one will focus on the quality and benefits of honey for all of us. The session will also help people better understand the use of honey in our daily diet. for useful purposes ”and a basic testing methodology to prevent cases of adulteration in honey in India.

Specialists focused on the robustness of existing testing standards in India and the traceability of honey. Representations to this effect were then submitted to the FSSAI for review. A white paper will also soon be drafted in collaboration with AOAC-India.
