BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – We saw a mix of sun and cloud today but stayed dry! Temperatures remained comfortable – and below average – in the low 80s throughout the afternoon!
A surface anticyclone to our southeast will keep the rain at bay tonight and tomorrow! Daytime highs will have a hard time breaking out of the 80s trough on Saturday, but otherwise we’ll have partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Showers and thunderstorms activity will intensify until tomorrow evening and early Sunday. We will also see pockets of moderate to heavy rain with some lightning. You might wake up to some thunderous rumbles on Sunday morning! So, you will want to have the umbrella around the door. Chances of rain diminish as the afternoon hours approach, but we could still see a few short-lived showers by then. We will mainly see sunny skies and warm conditions before Labor Day! Afternoon temperatures will then peak between the low and mid-80s. You will want to take sunscreen AND allergy medication as the UV Index and pollen counts will be high. Beyond that, the rest of the work week seems mostly sunny and hot with daytime highs in the mid-80s! Have a safe Labor Day weekend!
