Namibia's Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Emma Theofelus, is appealing for understanding as NamPost navigates its new role in distributing social grants. Theofelus emphasizes that NamPost, the national postal operator, is still adapting to this newfound responsibility, having taken over from Epupa Investment Technology on October 1st. NamPost has apologized for the initial hiccups and assured the public of its efforts to rectify the situation. They plan to implement a new payment schedule and fully deploy their mobile teams to streamline the process.

Theofelus reiterated the government's commitment to providing social grants, including those for disability, orphans, and vulnerable children. However, the question remains: is the current pace of improvement sufficient to alleviate the immediate struggles faced by grant recipients?
