Australia's Education Roadshow: Opening Doors for Bangladeshi Students
Australia is a beacon of academic excellence for students worldwide, and Bangladesh is no exception. On Friday, at the Sheraton Banani, a special event brought together Australian government officials, university representatives, and prospective Bangladeshi students for the IDP Study World Australia Roadshow 2026. This roadshow, hosted by IDP Education, was a collaborative effort supported by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and the Australian High Commission.
The roadshow provided a unique opportunity for students to engage directly with top Australian universities and institutions. Representatives from these esteemed institutions shared valuable insights into academic programs, admissions processes, scholarships, and career prospects. One of the highlights was a session led by Ben Carson, Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner, offering a comprehensive overview of the benefits of studying in Australia.
A key presentation, titled 'Australian Advantage', was delivered by Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Director (Greater South Asia) of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. This session emphasized the country's commitment to academic rigor, research excellence, and graduate employability, which are hallmarks of Australian institutions.
Three Bangladeshi students, supported by IDP, took center stage to share their transformative academic journeys. These students had received merit-based scholarships from prestigious universities like the University of Western Australia, the University of Sydney, and Monash University. Their presentations showcased their academic achievements, the impact of scholarships, and the overall support they received through IDP's guidance.
Australia's higher education sector boasts an impressive global reputation. According to the QS World University Rankings, nine Australian universities are consistently ranked among the world's top 100. This recognition underscores the country's commitment to academic excellence and its ability to produce world-class research and highly employable graduates.
IDP, a global leader in international education, has been a guiding force for aspiring students since 1969. As a co-owner of IELTS, IDP provides end-to-end services to over 100,000 students annually, helping them achieve their study-abroad dreams without any associated costs. This commitment to accessibility and support is a cornerstone of IDP's mission.
