Church News

Askamore remembers our loved ones – A folder containing plastic sleeves will be placed at the back of Askamore Church. Each family can insert a page in the record to remember their deceased family member. You can put whatever you want, for example, a photo, a memory card, the date of death, the place of burial, etc.

It will be presented in alphabetical order, so place your insert below your family initials, i.e. B for Byrne, D for Doyle, etc. Feel free to put it for people who no longer have family in the area. The page can be opened on your loved one’s birthday if you wish.

This will not only help people remember, but will also be of great help to future generations. For further information please contact Jim Gilbert 086 8406786 or Eileen Doran 087 4154673.

Postage stamps for missions – Thank you to everyone who left stamps in the box on the main porch of St Brigid’s Church, Askamore. Used stamps are always welcome. Remember to leave some space around the stamp. Thank you.
